Description: In order to reduce pollutant emissions, and to extend the life of diesel engines, biodiesel has starred in one of the largest revolutions in the automotive industry, as it has been used for this purpose. The mixture of vegetable oils or animal fats with fatty acid methyl esters is known as biodiesel, and when mixed with conventional diesel, it is presented as a valid option in the market, which allows these objectives to be achieved. The study of the effects of biodiesel on the diesel combustion engine has been very little questioned, so the main objective of this research is to analyze the biodiesel blends with 5% and 15% in their concentration that are called B5 and B15 respectively , like the mixtures of B5 + 0.02% of ferox additive that would be called B5A, and the mixture of B15 + 0.02% of ferox additive that will be B15A, also the DF mixture that is the conventional diesel mixture + ferox, to approximate to the efficiency in engines that use these types of fuel. Getting to get that mixture has the best characteristics after comparing its properties such as flash point, water and sediment content, sulfur content, ash percentage, carbon residue, distillation, viscosity, corrosion to the copper foil and cetane index The B5A biodiesel mixture and the DF mixture, are the mixtures that met all the standards, improving their characteristics since they achieved a better performance in the tests performed, meeting the expectations that have been raised for this research
