Description: | The objective of this study was to determine the incidence between the work-family conflict and work-related stress, considering if this relationship is more harmful to men or women, in a company from Quito-Ecuador. It was a correlational study and it could be verified through the taking of two tests: the Kopelman et al. (1983) cited in Thomas and Ganster (1995), to measure the work-family conflict and the Kahn et al. (1964) to measure work stress, in the study participated 110 workers of Santos CMI company dedicated to engineering. The correlation between both variables was analyzed through the Pearson correlation coefficient, the value of the correlation is .36. With a T test it was observed that the work stress and the work-family conflict is slightly higher in the female gender. Therefore, it is necessary to implement techniques to control the reduction and even eradication of work-related stress caused by the work-family conflict. |
