Perfiles neuropsicológicos en delincuentes violentos. Una revisión sistemática de la literatura científica

Abstract

This article presents a systematic review of the scientific literature on the different neuropsychological profiles observed in individuals who have committed violent crimes. The objective of this review was to conduct a systematic review of recent scientific literature from a forensic psychological perspective on the neuropsychological profile present in individuals who have committed violent crimes. This was done through database searches and the application of the PRISMA model, where the main results were the existence of deficits in behavioral inhibition, decision-makings, and cognitive flexibility. These findings demonstrated the importance of incorporating neuropsychological assessments in forensic contexts
