Nivel de riesgo postural en el personal de enfermería que manipula pacientes en la unidad UCI de un hospital en Quito

Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate the level of postural risk during the management of patients in the nursing staff using the MAPO methodology and the Nordic questionnaire to establish its relationship with the frequency of musculoskeletal pain. Method: The study was developed through a design with a quantitative approach and a descriptive scope. The population was made up of 33 nurses and 13 nursing assistants from the Intensive Care Unit of a Hospital in Quito. The instruments used were the Nordic Questionnaire and the MAPO methodology. Results: A medium level of exposure to risk was found due to manual mobilization of patients, and frequent pain in the lumbar, dorsal and neck regions.
