Diseño del sistema de gestión ambiental basado en la Norma ISO 14001:2015 para una empresa gestora de desechos peligrosos, no peligrosos y especiales

Abstract

This work is related to the design of the Environmental Management System for CELTEL CONSTRUCCIONES Y SERVICIOS CIA. LTDA., a hazardous, non-hazardous, and special waste management company, located in the Province of Sucumbíos, Lago Agrio Canton, considering all the requirements established in the ISO 14001:2015 Standard. To carry out the design, a documentary analysis (matrices, procedures, and formats), information gathering with the help of interviews with all the company's employers and the design of the management system with the structure mandated in the ISO 14001:2015 Standard were carried out, in order for the company to assume responsibility in the environmental management and control of its different processes, and to comply with the national environmental laws and regulations in force. The main results obtained is the assessment of environmental aspects and impacts, a total of 83 impacts (positive and negative) were evaluated, where the negative impacts of greatest concern are: landscape alteration, waste generation, soil, air and water contamination, noise pollution, and the depletion of renewable and non-renewable natural resources; therefore, the mitigation, prevention and control actions described in the Environmental Management Plan must be carried out, and positive impacts such as employment generation and productive activities resulting from the service provided in common waste recycling processes, hazardous waste treatment, and administrative activities must be enhanced.
