Niveles de estrés laboral en trabajadores de una empresa de artículos tecnológicos. Quito 2021

Abstract

This is an analytical cross-sectional study where the validated survey of "ILO-WHO Work Stress" will be applied to determine the stress levels in a technological articles company in Quito during 2021, and the relationship between the levels will be described of, work stress and gender, position and, age of the worker, to establish policies for stress management in the company and contribute to knowledge in the area of Occupational Health in the country. Objectives: To determine the levels of work stress, through the use of the “ILO-WHO Work Stress” survey, and describe its relationship with the gender, position and, age of the worker. Methods: Analytical, cross-sectional study, where the “ILO-WHO Work Stress” survey will be carried out, the results will be expressed as categorical qualitative variables in frequencies and percentages and, the relationship between these will be analyzed with the chi-2 test. The results will be reported in the form of contingency tables. The calculations will be carried out using the statistical package SPSS v2.0 2020. Results: Higher levels of work stress were determined in male workers, in those over 30 years of age and in those who hold administrative positions. Conclusion: Of the studied sample, 93.9% of workers presented a low level of work stress, also confirming the association between the levels of work stress and the sex, age and, position of the worker; it would be advisable to carry out a follow-up by carrying out the same minimum survey on an annual basis.
