Abstract: Work-related accidents in itinere (AT In Itinere) are those that occur when the displacement is imposed by the obligation to go to work, as a necessary act for the provision of work. Objective: to analyze the incidence of qualified TA In Itínere in the country, during the 2016-2018 period, according to the socio-labor variables (province, branch of activity, sex, age and type of disability). Material and Methods: Descriptive and cross-sectional study, with data provided from secondary sources. Specific accident rate is calculated according to study variables. Results: Decrease of In-Itinere Work Accidents during the three years of study, Guayas presents the highest adjusted rate of qualified AT In Itinere; Social, community and personal services is the most rugged branch of activity, in men between the ages of 26- 35, presenting temporary disability. Conclusions: These results confirm that AT In Itinere constitute an important public health problem in the country, therefore, it is important to evaluate the impact it can have on it. In addition, the establishment of accident indicators that allow the data to be homogenized in order to know the health and safety situation in the region, would allow statistical comparisons to be made to improve the effectiveness of occupational health and safety programs in the different countries.
