Abstract: | Automotive transport is essential for human mobility, it plays a fundamental role in the development of foreign and internal trade of any nation, currently the highest percentage of motor vehicles consume energy from fossil sources, which is highly polluting. In Ecuador, several types of gasoline are marketed which may behave differently in relation to consumption, power, torque and emissions depending on the type of vehicle and operating conditions. The present work has the general objective of evaluating the behavior of a low-displacement MEP under the effect of different gasoline, through experimentation in the dynamometric driving cycle, for the evaluation of the best variant. The tests were carried out on a four-cylinder internal combustion engine (Chevrolet Spark GT 2015), for the determination of torque and power, the chassis dynamometer belonging to the Technology Transfer Center for Training and Research in Vehicle Emission Control (CCICEV), using the three types of gasoline that are marketed in Quito, Ecuador (Extra, Super and Super G-prix), cycle 6 IM240 is used for static laboratory tests where polluting emissions are analyzed. As a result, it is obtained that the Super G-Prix gasoline has the best behavior in relation to torque and power, while the lowest emission factors are obtained for Ecopais gasoline. |
