Thesis on bioremediation, specifically bioremediation of contaminated sludge with hydrocarbons and heavy metals. The fundamental objective is to analyze the process of bioremediation of these sludge that is made at the Weatherford base in Coca. For this purpose, the technique of surface beds is used, which is also known as landfarming and through the use of zeolites and humic acids aims at the degradation of pollutants. To check the effectiveness of the work performed periodic samplings and their subsequent analyzes. The problem is the contamination that these sludges can cause in the environment if there is no pre-treatment for these before their final disposal. The general conclusion of work is that zeolites and humic acids act effectively in the decrease of the concentration of hydrocarbons. With the recommendation to improve the system operational and better monitoring of the control parameters that will help optimize the process. |
