Abstract: El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el estrés laboral por jornadas de trabajo en los guardias de seguridad de la empresa PROVIP’S CIA LTDA. El estudio que se realizó fue de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio. Los participantes fueron una muestra de 169 guardias, 128 hombres y 41 mujeres quienes se dividieron en horarios diurnos y nocturnos. Se realizó esta investigación con el fin de establecer cuáles son los factores que intervienen en los niveles de estrés laboral y cómo estos influyen. Para la elaboración del estudio se utilizó una encuesta sociodemográfica, el cuestionario sobre estrés laboral de la Organización Internacional del Trabajo y la Escala Sintomática de Estrés SEPPO ARO. Los resultados que arrojó la investigación demuestran que a pesar de que no hay diferencias estadísticamente significativas, el personal con horario nocturno posee estrés laboral intermedio y estrés. Se propuso como posible solución un programa de manejo de estrés laboral para este grupo de personas y utilizar el mismo como instrumento para la prevención del estrés laboral en el resto de personal de la organización
Description: The objective of this investigation was to evaluate the work stress for working days in the security guards of the company PROVIP'S CIA LTDA. The study that was carried out was of a quantitative, descriptive and exploratory type. The participants were a sample of 169 guards, 128 men and 41 women who divided into day and night schedules. This research was conducted in order to establish which factors are involved in the levels of work stress and how these influence. For the elaboration of the study, a socio-demographic survey, the questionnaire on labor stress of the International Labor Organization and the Symptomatic Stress Scale SEPPO ARO were used. The results of the research show that although there are no statistically significant differences, the staff with night shift have intermediate work stress and stress. A work stress management program for this group of people was proposed as a possible solution and it could be used as an instrument for the prevention of work stress in the rest of the personnel of the organization.
