Description: Toquilla straw hats, as well as crafts made with tagua, are among the many Ecuadorian products of high export value; but especially these two handmade products, They include thorough manufacturing processes, which it may take a long time to complete just one unity. While the good quality of these crafts is linked directly to production time, does not mean that it is not necessary to provide adequate infrastructure for its realization, manual and industrial. Therefore the end of this project is to design the Production Unit Craft for the Community of El Aromo. To achieve this, the method used in this document is based in the analysis on scales. - First the macro analysis of the Manta canton is developed, where a general plan of production units is defined, covering the fishing, artisan and industrial activity of the zone and a relational axis is proposed that benefits mainly to the rural area of the canton. - Second, the urban structure of the El Aromo community to clearly identify the best place to locate the Handicraft Production Unit for the Community of El Aromo. P he study the climatic components and the natural environment of the of housing existing to define aspects Functional of the project. - Third, a study of the characteristics of the lot is carried out where it will intervene and its immediate environment to define implementation strategies and connections with existing buildings. - Fourth, these strategies are concretely shaped on the lot, through strategies that contemplate the road organization and circulations. - Fifth, a structural module is developed that has the ability to replicate along the ground and make it easy understanding for locals using systems Traditional constructs - Sixth, architectural and technical plans. With this Production Unit the inhabitants of the community they will have the opportunity to market their products in a way massive since they can count on space and Machinery for this purpose. They will also be able to manufacture the packaging to offer a quality product export. 9
