Description: This project will determine the main causes that favored the change of vegetation cover and land use between the years 1990-2000, through a contextual approach of Political ecology and spatial analysis, in order to understand the socio-political dynamics. environmental, economic and cultural in the occupation and use of land, the change that has been generated by oil industrialization, human settlements, roads for transport and mobilization and other factors that have intervened in the change of land use and vegetation cover. Using aerial photographs obtained from the IGM Military Geographic Institute by shape, they will undergo a rectification process, in addition to obtaining a retrospective analysis and determining the activities that present a higher risk. A spatial study and a treatment of aerial photographs is carried out with two softwares that will intervene for this project ArcGis and Erdas Imagine 2015, in the latter will apply tools such as photogrammetry, polynomial, photointerpretation, among others. Through the rectification of the photographs, respective mosaics of the year 2000 will be obtained, making an analysis allowing identifying the significant problems that represent risk. It was concluded that macroeconomic factors from 1990 to 2000 at the regional and national levels influenced the Capucúy river basin, but it can not be fully affirmed that there was a change in social dynamics, on the contrary, the change in coverage Vegetation and land use was verified by the mosaics obtained from the rectified photographs in the investigation.
