| Abstract: | El estudio se centró en realizar una auditoría a la Gestión de Servicios Tecnológicos, en el espacio denominado Gestión de Servicios Informáticos de la Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí (UNESUM), en la que participaron docentes, estudiantes y personal que labora con los recursos tecnológicos, mediante el uso del marco de referencia de buenas prácticas COBIT 5, siendo este uno de los marcos más completo que encontramos en la actualidad. Este marco de referencia contiene las herramientas necesarias para desarrollar políticas y buenas practicas del control de la tecnología, lo que permitió diagnosticar los problemas de gestión, administración de los recursos tecnológicos, dando a conocer que TI no es un aliado estratégico para la Universidad. Estos problemas permitieron que este estudio se pueda realizar, para aportar con conocimiento a las autoridades de la Institución, y estos tomen los correctivos necesarios. Esta investigación utiliza enfoques cuantitativos y cualitativos. El levantamiento de información se realizó a través de técnicas y métodos de investigación documental y de campo que permitieron establecer estrategias de solución, que buscan facilitar y promover una mayor calidad en los Servicios Tecnológicos. Entre los resultados más relevantes encontramos: la identificación de los riesgos tecnológicos, las dificultades que afronta la Gestión de Servicios Informáticos, generadas por la ineficiente gestión de recursos y proveedores, al no contar con autonomía de gestión por parte de TI. En conjunto con las limitaciones en la infraestructura tecnológica y el escaso presupuesto asignado. Se recomienda utilizar marcos de referencias de buenas prácticas y aplicar las recomendaciones sugeridas en el presente trabajo, para logra que TI sea el aliado estratégico que tanto necesita la Universidad, y así poder alcanzar los objetivos institucionales de manera eficiente y eficaz. | Description: | The study focused on conducting an audit of the Technological Services Management, in the Management of Computer Services area of Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí (UNESUM), in which teachers, students and staff working with the technological resources participated, this study uses COBIT 5 framework of good practices, this being one of the most complete frameworks available today. This frame of reference contains the necessary tools to develop policies and good practices in the control of technology, which allowed the researcher to diagnose the problems of management, administration of technological resources, exposing that IT is not a strategic ally for the University. These problems allowed this study to be carried out, and aimed it to contribute with knowledge to the authorities of the Institution, so they can take the necessary corrective measures. This research uses quantitative and qualitative approaches. The gathering of information was done through techniques and methods of documentary and field research that allowed establishing solution strategies, which seek to facilitate and promote a higher quality in Technology Services. Among the most relevant results are: the identification of technological risks, the difficulties faced by the Management of Computer Services, generated by the inefficient management of resources and suppliers, not having any autonomy to make important decisions. In conjunction with the limitations in the technological infrastructure and the limited budget. It is recommended to use reference frameworks of good practices and apply the recommendations generated in this work, to ensure that IT becomes the strategic ally that the University needs, and thus, be able to achieve institutional objectives efficiently and effectively. |
