| Resumen : | La Universidad Internacional SEK (Campus Miguel de Cervantes), consume agua potable en promedio 660 m 3 mensuales. Las aguas residuales generadas son descargadas sin controles, o tratamiento químico, físico o microbiológico, para este proceso cuenta con dos fosas sépticas, una de ellas recoge descargas de la facultad de Ciencias Ambientales y la otra de la Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica. Ambas fosas tienen capacidad de 22,5 m3 , hay momentos que las fosas sépticas se llenan y rebosan libremente a través de tuberías al terreno aledaño. Los lodos decantados de las fosas sépticas se retiran cada 6 meses por una compañía gestora de residuos, que se dedica a la limpieza de fosas. En el resto de las instalaciones Administración, Dispensario médico, cafetería, Facultad de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional y Psicología, las descargas son enviadas ´por tubería directo al río Monjas. Adicionalmente se identificará los diferentes productos químicos que se utilizan en las actividades de la Universidad y que aportan a la contaminación del agua. Con esta información se procede a evaluar las aguas residuales. con el fin de proteger la salud e integridad de las personas, ecosistemas del ambiente, impulsar buenas prácticas ambientales, y cumplir con normas de la Secretaría del Ambiente del DMQ |
| Descripción : | SEK International University (Campus Miguel de Cervantes) has an average demand of potable water of 660 m3 per month. The wastewater is discharged without controls, or chemical, physical or microbiological treatment; for this process it has two septic tanks, one of them collects discharges from the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, and the other one from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty. Both tanks have 22.5 m 3 of capacity, there are moments when the septic tanks fill and overflow freely through pipes to the land that is in the other side of the construction. The decanted sludge from the septic tanks is removed every 6 months by a waste management company, which is dedicated to cleaning septic tanks. The other faculties like Administration, Medical Dispensary, cafeteria, Faculty of Occupational Health and Safety and Psychology discharge their wastewater by a pipe to the Monjas River. Additionally, different chemical products that are used in the activities to contribute the water pollution of the University are going to be identified. With this information, wastewater is evaluated in order to protect the health and integrity of people, ecosystems of the environment, promote good environmental practices, and comply with regulations of the Secretary of Environment of the DMQ. |
