The wastewater treatment plant designed in this thesis will be implemented in Lazo, province of Cotopaxi, where the new facilities of CARNIDEM. INC. LTDA, company dedicated to the manufacture of meat products. The industry will increase its production for next year. For the development of this thesis we work with data obtained experimentally or based on approximations made from the existing real data. To treat this liquid waste it is necessary to use pretreatments, primary and tertiary treatments; those who were chosen when performing different laboratory tests that allowed to determine that The design of the treatment process should consist of 6 units: tank mix, coarse sieve, grease trap, coagulation, sedimentation and disinfection. With this treatment, optimal results are achieved guarantee less environmental pollution and comply with the existing regulations for wastewater from the Metropolitan District of Quito, since in Cotopaxi there are no regulations that regulate these discharges. Because the residual water after going through this treatment acquires an environmentally good condition and taking into account the needs of the industry, this water can be reused for irrigation.
