Abstract: Las diferencias de género y los derechos de igualdad entre hombres y mujeres llaman la atención y despiertan un interés creciente en el contexto actual de nuestra sociedad, sobre todo en lo que respecta a salud laboral. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar los factores psicosociales asociados al género de una muestra de trabajadores del Grupo Empresarial Villacis Ltda. El estudio de tipo correlacional transversal, recoge la información a partir de la aplicación presencial del cuestionario CoPsoQ ISTAS 21 Versión 2 a 26 trabajadores de los cuales 13 fueron mujeres y 13 hombres quienes participaron voluntariamente y contestaron completamente el cuestionario. Los resultados revelan la existencia en cierto grado de un mayor nivel de riesgo psicosocial entre las mujeres trabajadoras. Concretamente, en ellas fue un tanto más frecuente la prevalencia a la exposición de manera desfavorable en cuanto a la inseguridad sobre las condiciones de trabajo (92,3%) en relación al porcentaje de los hombres (53,8%).
