Proyecto de rehabilitación de la casa Kingman en el sector de San Rafael

Abstract

La intención de este proyecto es demostrar que los edificios antiguos tienen una enorme capacidad para adaptarse a nuevos usos y a ser rehabilitados y reutilizados, según sea requerido, sin que pierdan su identidad arquitectónica. La reutilización determina un cambio funcional en el aspecto arquitectónico, también se pueden añadir nuevas estructuras para así potenciar la historia de la construcción. Los puntos importantes a tener en cuenta son: el objeto en sí, la memoria, el entorno. Las ciudades necesitan de estas transformaciones constantes con el paso del tiempo ya que necesitan renovarse, desarrollarse y evolucionar. Por otra parte esta casa debe ser rescatada por tener un alto valor arquitectónico, histórico y patrimonial y merece ser tomada en cuenta ya que consta como parte de la memoria del lugar. Además la rehabilitación de la casa Kingman que se encuentra en el sector de San Rafael, responde a una necesidad del sector, que es tener un lugar donde desarrollar, conocer, aprender, etc. sobre: cultura, tradición, puesta en valor y también el objetivo es volver a la casa un lugar público, crear una ampliación para que así pueda cumplir otras funciones y crear un espacio verde amigable que vaya a la par con lo ya construido y lo nuevo. Este proyecto está enfocado principalmente para los habitantes del Cantón Rumiñahui.

In addition, the rehabilitation of the Kingman house that is located in the sector of San Rafael, responds to a need of the sector, which is to have a place to develop, know, learn, etc. about: culture, tradition, putting value and also the objective is to return to the house a public place, create an extension so that it can fulfill other functions and create a friendly green space that goes hand in hand with the already built and the new. This project is focused mainly for the inhabitants of the Rumiñahui Canton
