| Zusammenfassung: | Existe un vacío lingüístico en el idioma español que ha determinado que “seguridad ciudadana” y “prevención del crimen” se aborden bajo la terminología única de seguridad.Sin embargo existen intencionalidades diferentes en estrategias de diseño arquitectónico y urbano. Mediante el análisis tipológico de las edificaciones del Centro Histórico de Quito, esta investigación propone evaluar las estrategias espaciales empleadas para abordar problemas de seguridad urbana y prevención del crimen a escala barrial, con el fin de evidenciar la diferenciación de estos conceptos en la actuación urbana. |
| Beschreibung: | In the Spanish language, there is a linguistic gap that determines that “safety” and “security” are approached by the sole terminology of seguridad. However, in architectural and urban design there are diverse intents that determine, accordingly, different spatial strategies. By focusing on the typological analysis of the edifications in Quito´s Historic Centre, this paper proposes to evaluate the spatial strategies used to tackle urban safety and security at the neighborhood level, in order to show the difference of these concepts in urban design. |
