Description: Burnout syndrome is defined as the response to chronic work stress that affects people whose job is to help, serve or be in direct contact with other people. Teachers are in one of the groups of professions most likely to have this syndrome, which produces symptoms in the person ranging from physical, emotional and mental exhaustion to interpersonal conflictual relationships. The aim of the present study is to determine the sociodemographic factors with greater relevance in the manifestation of burnout syndrome in primary and higher education teachers of the Saint Dominic School Educational Unit. The research has been carried out in a school and we have worked with a sample of 60 teachers. From a correlational descriptive methodology, two measuring instruments have been applied: the first, the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire with its version for teachers (MBI-ED) to measure: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal fulfillment and the second instrument, a questionnaire author's design to collect information on sociodemographic factors such as: age, number of children, marital status, level where he works within the institution and years worked inside and outside the institution. In conclusion, it was evidenced that the syndrome is present in all the population at low levels, especially in the basic level teachers, single, aged 19 to 30 years and with more than 10 years worked.
