In this study, it was proposed to determine what are the Adaptation Capabilities (C.A) before Environmental-Oil Impacts (I.A.P) on the part of the inhabitants of the population of the Limoncocha parish. This unpublished socio-environmental research was carried out through a multidisciplinary (environmental, ethnographic and psychological) methodology of triangulation with surveys and interviews. Among the main results obtained, it is revealed that it is the men, who currently work in oil companies and reached third level studies, who would present greater "active C.A" individual before (I.A.P). At the community level, the Kichwa population shows greater "active C.A". This refers to the aforementioned groups are more apt to face (I.A.P) by their own means. On the contrary, people who do not have third level studies are more passive and avoidant before (I.A.P) and in the same way women. The "Avoidant C.A" refers to a preference for not thinking about (I.A.P) evading the problem in various ways and the "C.A. passive" leads to people expect other entities to do something against (I.A.P). Finally, through a correlational regression model it is concluded that the variations in the perception of (I.A.P) in the people involved, has a relative influence on their adaptation to them. However, this adaptation is not always inclined in the same direction as perception. That is, there could be a relationship between what is perceived and the mechanisms of adaptation, but these are not always addressed in the same sense.
