Ecos del entorno: Impacto del nivel socioeconómico en la salud mental y la regulación emocional en población adulta de Ecuador.

Abstract

The main objective of this article was to analyze the relationship between mental health variables, emotional dysregulation and socioeconomic level of a sample of 1555 Ecuadorian adults, aged between 18 and 65 years (M = 23.6). (2) Methods: The following tools were applied: "General Health Questionnaire-28" (GHQ-28) and "Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale" (DERS), along with a sociodemographic instrument. Descriptive and inferential statistics were performed through the JAMOVI program. (3) Results: As a result, it was obtained that there is a significant relationship between the variables of mental health and emotional dysregulation, and the sociodemographic level is linked to both, with differences present in the highest and lowest rungs. (4) Conclusions These findings reinforce the importance of considering the social and economic aspects in the planning of psychological interventions and public policies.
