Descripción : The new millennium has brought a number of new social and economic dynamics that have radically changed people's way of life. The development of the human species and its constant documentation prove it: these changes occur in less time and with greater intensity. The advancement of different disciplines and professions allows us to travel more efficiently, heal faster, eat better, live in better homes, receive a better education, etc. The current economic model and social system have made much progress, which is undeniable, but their consequences are far from being equally beneficial. These "changes" are driven by a completely constant market, one that only and exclusively democratizes solutions if they generate economic profit for the company that creates them. The ethical execution of professions is directly affected by these dynamics, pushing individuals to go beyond the limits of fair remuneration for work. This turns task fulfillment into a pursuit of personal satisfaction, setting aside the coercive and consciously virtuous aspect of the process. Nayón is a very clear example of what has been described. The city is undergoing an immeasurable economic and social revaluation, which has been its primary publicized aspect over the past decade. Property values continue to rise due to supply and demand, and every formally constructed site follows this trend. At the same time, it is evident that the city's conditions are shaped by the buildings themselves, creating enclosed private spaces devoid of comfort. Nayón’s urban spaces have been confined within its buildings, mirroring its social structure and preventing the emergence of formal public spaces where the city can truly develop and thrive. This document is not only a contribution toward obtaining a university degree but also a guide to the spatial, material, constructive, and structural aspects of documented public architecture. The document responds appropriately and coherently to the needs of an emerging society like that of the rural parish of Nayón, while also considering economic compensation and security—essential conditions for the development of dignified buildings. Urban integration, coherent scale and proportion, diverse functions and uses, façade treatment, independent spaces within structures, and improved relationships are indispensable concepts that the proposed model must address to ensure that a city functions correctly within its physical and social environment. The proposed system suggests that, by following the premise of progressive processes, an equilibrium in space usage can be achieved—one that is not only subject to individual interpretation but also responds to the changing programmatic needs of a parish like Nayón. This allows its residents, both local and foreign, to be the main decision-makers in determining the needs of new buildings, ensuring that spaces and structures adapt to human factors. This is the reason behind the interdisciplinary approach to design, where architecture and design today play a crucial role in considering the infinite network of actors that shape a building’s space and surroundings. Likewise, it is important to highlight the potential of architecture to create an architectural pretext that enriches otherwise empty plots of land, linking them to collective identity through in-person interactions that are projected, housed, and perpetuated by architecture itself.
