Abstract: | El crecimiento de las exportaciones desde Ecuador de las frutas exóticas en los últimos años ha incrementado constantemente debido a los actuales hábitos y tendencias de consumo por las propiedades y beneficios que poseen estas frutas producidas en la privilegiada zona tropical del Ecuador. En el cual la Pitahaya amarilla o conocida en el mercado internacional como “Yellow dragon fruit” tiene una importante participación dentro de los mercados internacionales en el cual el mercado estadounidense representa la mayor cantidad de importaciones de este producto identificando aquí una gran oportunidad de negocio ya que para el primer trimestre del presente año la cantidad importada de esta fruta fue de 53 toneladas que a comparación de años posteriores han incrementado abruptamente su porcentaje de importaciones. El presente plan de negocios muestra la factibilidad en la exportación de esta fruta exótica hacia Estados Unidos en el año 2023, que se encuentra en crecimiento con una tasa de anual del 4.5% prevista hacia el año 2027. |
Description: | The consistent growth of exotic fruit exports from Ecuador in recent years has been driven by current consumption trends and the beneficial qualities of these fruits cultivated in Ecuador's tropical region. Among them, the Yellow Dragon Fruit, internationally recognized as "Pitahaya amarilla," has gained prominence in global markets, particularly within the United States, which stands as its primary importing destination. This study unveils a significant business opportunity, underscored by the first quarter imports of this year, which have surged remarkably compared to previous years, reaching a total of 53 tons. Against this backdrop, the present business plan assesses the feasibility of exporting the Yellow Dragon Fruit to the United States in 2023, leveraging its consistent growth trajectory projected at an annual rate of 4.5% until 2027. |
