Description: This quantitative research conducted in Quito-Ecuador, aims to measure the influence of psychosocial risks on the self-concept of adolescents who are undergoing a therapeutic process and to generate a comparison with those who are not, through the application of psychometric tools to collect statistical data that show the needs of this population. The research applied in the first instance, a psychometric tool called AF-5 (Self Concept Form 5) which allows to evaluate different aspects of self-concept in adolescents, such as: social, academic/professional, emotional, family and physical areas. Secondly, the QPAD tool (Questionnaire for the Evaluation of Problems in Adolescents) was applied to obtain scores on nine scales: Anxiety, Depression, Interpersonal Problems, Family Problems, Body Dissatisfaction, Uncertainty about the Future, Substance Abuse, Psychosocial Risk and Self-esteem and Well-being. By obtaining the results of the two tools, a comparison was generated between the scores of both indexes to determine which elements of the self-concept are being affected by the high indexes of psychosocial risk. Finally, the comparison showed that the dimensions most affected in relation to the participants with and without therapy were the following:  Academic labor with a statistic U=65.00, associated to a p-value<.05, with a higher average range in people who are following a therapeutic process.  Emotional, presents a statistically significant difference between the two groups of people (U=48.00; p<.05), with the characteristic that the higher rank is obtained by people without therapy compared to those who are in therapy.  Interpersonal problems presents a difference U=65.50 and a value p<.05, where it stands out that higher average rank scores are obtained by people who are not in a therapeutic process compared to those who are. This allows us to demonstrate that these three areas have a significant relationship in the influence of psychosocial risk and self-concept of adolescents, showing the need for intervention in these areas to improve the quality of life of adolescents in the different areas that make up their individuality and self-concept.
