Abstract: ABSTRACT Objective: The purpose of this research was to discover the needs and difficulties of several specialists with specific profiles in the area of Occupational Risk Prevention, when exercising their functions externally and internally in public and private companies; Methodology: The study will be developed through the application of the Delphi technique, where closed questions will be found to be formulated to the panelists based on a rigorous review of bibliographic information; once the responses were collected, statistical processing, discussion and information analysis proceeded; Results: A consensus was confirmed among the participating experts with more than 80% in each of the questions asked, with the exception of one question with a percentage of approximately 65%, standing out among the main difficulties and needs, the little commitment of the company with the delivery of human, economic or technological resources, this influencing the implementation of a Health and Safety Management System in the strengthened work, it is also added the need to establish the competencies of the professional (training, training and experience) to possess, since the lack of regulations that guide the exercise of the profession prevents Occupational Health and Safety Management from being carried out only by profiles in accordance with risk prevention, but not by professionals with education in other areas study.
Description: Objetivo: La presente investigación tuvo como finalidad conocer las necesidades y dificultades de varios especialistas con perfiles específicos en el área de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales, al ejercer sus funciones de forma externa e interna en las empresas públicas y privadas; Metodología: El estudio se desarrolló mediante la aplicación de la técnica Delphi, dónde se establecieron preguntas cerradas a ser formuladas a los panelistas en base a una rigurosa revisión de información bibliográfica; una vez recopiladas las respuestas, se procedió con el procesamiento estadístico, discusión y análisis de información; Resultados: Se corroboró un consenso entre los expertos participantes con más del 80% en cada una de las preguntas realizadas, a excepción de una pregunta con un porcentaje de aproximadamente el 65%, destacándose entre las dificultades y necesidades principales, el poco compromiso de la empresa con la entrega de recursos humanos, económicos o tecnológicos, incidiendo esto en la implementación de un Sistema de Gestión en Seguridad y Salud en el trabajo fortalecido, se añade también la necesidad de establecer las competencias del profesional (formación, capacitación y experiencia) a poseer, pues la falta de normativa que guíe el ejercicio de la profesión impide que la Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el trabajo sea desempeñada solo por perfiles acordes a la prevención de riesgos, más no por profesionales con educación en otras áreas de estudio.
