Description: Elaborating on the state of art about those deprived of freedom and their executive functions represent the opening of a matter that has remained barely explored due to the biases placed around it. The acknowledgment of rights is important within human wellbeing and for this, the following theoretical perspectives are distinguished: within the law, the field of Penitentiary Law and, in the field of mental health, Forensic Psychology that would act within its competencies. The purpose of this article responds to the need to know about those functions that represent a vastly important role in the daily life of hum ans. When talking about executive functions, it is already understood that a conjecture exists between the internal, mental processes of each individual and their interaction with the environment in which they find themselves. Likewise, it is pertinent to generate the proper identification of the scientific support that has been carried out and has been indexed in science. The methodology responds to a systematic review that has been applied through the PRISMA methodology. The databases used were SCOPUS, PU BMED, Elsevier, ResearchGate, SAGE Journals and Scielo. Within the results, it was possible to demarcate the important points in the scientific compilation focused on: social environment, social rehabilitation programs and prison environment, neurostructu re, dysfunction and personality traits; all these sections were linked to executive functions in masculine inmates.
