Abstract: Objectives: To evaluate the risk for forced postures and the symptoms associated with musculoskeletal disorders of the cashier position of a financial institution, using the RULA methodology and the Nordic Questionnaire, in order to know the risk to which they are exposed and the symptoms that perceive. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study will be carried out in a banking institution in Quito, during the months of December 2021 and January 2022, the population to be evaluated is 31 cashiers, the Kuorinka Nordic Questionnaire and the RULA ergonomic method were applied. Results: The most frequent symptomatology and with the greatest impact perceived by the collaborators is at the level of the upper back and lower back. In the Application of the RULA Method, it was observed that the level of action is 2, where complementary investigations and changes could be required. Conclusions: The most affected body segments in the cashier position are the upper limbs and the lower back, this research provides us with valuable information as a starting point in the implementation of preventive measures.
Description: Objetivos: Evaluar el riesgo por posturas forzadas y la sintomatología asociada a trastornos músculo esqueléticos del puesto de cajero de una institución financiera, utilizando la metodología RULA y el Cuestionario Nórdico, con el fin de conocer el riesgo al que se encuentran expuestos y la sintomatología que perciben respectivamente. Método: Se realizará un estudio descriptivo transversal, realizado en una institución bancaria de Quito, durante el mes de diciembre del 2021 y enero del 2022, la población a evaluar es de 31 cajeros, se aplicó el Cuestionario Nórdico de Kuorinka y el método ergonómico RULA. Resultados: La sintomatología más frecuente y de mayor impacto percibida por los colaboradores es a nivel de la espalda alta y espalda baja. En la Aplicación del Método RULA se pudo observar que el nivel de acción es 2, donde podrían requerirse investigaciones complementarias y cambios. Conclusiones: Los segmentos corporales más afectados en el puesto de cajero son los miembros superiores y la espalda baja, la presente investigación nos entrega valiosa información para punto de arranque en la implementación de medidas preventivas.
