Abstract

Ecuador, nowadays, has had significant growth in the industrial sector. This has brought about serious environmental problems, mainly in large-scale solid waste generation. Therefore, these sectors must focus on environmental challenges. The company imprint carries out the manufacture of labels and coding of products at a national level; it performs its f unctions based on the environmental regulations established in our country. For this, the company goes beyond complying with what is found, which assumes new challenges aimed at continuous improvement in its production, whichwill allow it to have better visibility in the market. The objective of this project was to create environmentally friendly alternatives that will enable optimizing resources through cleaner production so that the substrates of the industrial printing labels have adequate handling of recycling and use. The data obtained from the company and the research carried out were essential for determining the environmental aspects and impacts. This informationandsubsequent analysis created alternativesforthe management and use of waste, based on the strategy of cleaner production and final disposal of waste. These alternatives are made up of different matrices that allow the identification of the impacts generated in each process. The cleaner production will be a tool that will enable the company to optimize its resources in different processes and at the same time obtain better financial and social results.
