Abstract: The purpose of the following investigation was to analyze and compare types of shoe lining materials marketed in the city of Quito-Ecuador focused on the wear of the material, initially the construction of a test bench of the brake system of the upper part rear which has the following components, shoes, drums, rear brake cylinders, shoe regulation kit, cylinder rubbers and an electric motor which provides the driving power to the test bench, an element was placed in the brake drum abrasive to obtain the results of wear, the additional test bench has a frequency variator programmed at different speeds, in this way it is possible to obtain wear at different revolutions and treat the different materials under the same working conditions, the materials to be which the tests were carried out are from Peru which as the main manufacturing base is the use of carbon n with natural fiber alloys, the following material of Ecuadorian origin built based on organic and glass fibers, the third of Mexican origin based only on organic raw materials and mineral fibers, For the purpose of this project, the material obtained by the minimum wear and in such a way the behavior and performance of the same was clarified, which will help to deliver to the consumer a good quality packaging without contaminating the environment or human health.
