| Abstract: | El manejo responsable y con enfoque técnico de los productos químicos es un aspecto que todo operador de una concesión minera debe tomar en cuenta, para el efecto se cuenta con normativa nacional en la que se puede encontrar las particularidades que deben tener los locales / bodegas destinados al almacenamiento de químicos. En la minería se llevan a cabo procesos que demandan el uso de químicos de manera diaria, por lo cual es coherente y absolutamente necesario mantener un criterio unificado que ayude a la industria minera a generar condiciones seguras para el almacenamiento de estos productos, de esta manera se garantizará que no exista duplicidad de criterios para esta actividad. Coyunturalmente es un momento en el desarrollo de la industria minera en Ecuador propicio para establecer y normar las mejores prácticas ambientales, las que más de una de las empresas que ahora tienen actividad minera responsable ya lo están realizando, es así que en Ecuador cuenta con el Reglamento Ambiental de Actividades Mineras expedido con la finalidad de emitir lineamientos con un enfoque de cuidado del ambiente. |
| Description: | The responsible management with a technical approach of hazardous materials is an aspect that every operator of a mining concession must take in account, for this purpose, there are national regulations in which are showed the characteristics that the chemical warehouse should compliance. In mining, some processes carried out, demand the daily use of chemicals, for which it is coherent and absolutely necessary to maintain a unified standard that helps the mining industry to generate safe conditions for the storage of these products. Thereby, it will be guaranteed that there is no duplication of criteria for this activity. Nowadays, it is a moment in the development of the mining industry in Ecuador that is conducive to establishing and regulating the best environmental practices, which more 7 than one of the companies that now have responsible mining activity are already doing, thus, in Ecuador it has the Environmental Regulations for Mining Activities delivered with the purpose of issuing guidelines with a focus on caring for the environment. |
