Dermatitis de contacto en personal de enfermería por uso de antisépticos durante la pandemia del SARS-COV-2 en una unidad de cuidados intensivos - Ecuador

Abstract

Objectives: To determine the irritating effects on hands due to the use of antiseptics in the nursing staff of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Method: A cross-sectional, correlational and descriptive study will be carried out, its analysis will include nurses who have been exposed to the use of antiseptics for skin disinfection during the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2. The Nordic questionnaire, version 2002 (NOSQ-2002) will be used Results: In this research, it is expected to find a statistically significant relationship between the use of antiseptics and irritative dermatological symptoms in the hands, due to their excessive use in the pandemic, in order to minimize the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
