Abstract

Objectives: To determine the ionizing radiation levels absorbed by wireline workers who perform electrical logs in open hole wells. Specific: Analyze ionizing radiation data absorbed by wireline workers who perform electrical logs in open hole wells. Method: The method will be based on the systematic review of the reports and occupational data, which will help to synthesize the results and conclusions. The methodology will be developed qualitatively and quantitatively through the ionizing radiationdata collected by the Health, Safety and Environment area in the company. Results: The experimental group is compose of 20 workers who perform electrical logs in open hole wells. Implications: The implications of this work will be reflected in the development of good preventive practices at the individual and collective level that will help to reduce the physical risks of ionizing radiation as well as serve as the basis for future studies on ionizing radiation issues in oil companies. Limitations and strengths of the study: The strengths found are that private companies such as the one in which the study will be carried out have all the documentation in an orderly and correct manner, which makes it easier to carry out the study. The limitations found were that the employees of the area are not the same as those recorded in the clinical records evaluated 5 years ago, likewise another limitation is that as they are private companies, the information is confidential, so the delivery of the information is very limited.
