Proyecto arquitectónico de alta densidad como reacción a la ruptura espacial

Abstract

Quito, Ecuador has been one of the most representative Latin American cities in the world context. Its rank of world heritage is a sample of a number of historical elements found in it, but like all cities in the world it has very extensive urban problems. The development of this thesis project analyzes density issues, that will be related to urban development concepts such as the compact city and the dispersed city; Showing their problems but above all their opportunities in search of soil optimization and environmental protection, in turn comparing these concepts of city with the development through time of San Francisco de Quito. By reading the city and its historical development, a territory is determined to intervene in the north central part of the city, also known as a hypercenter. In this, a mixed -use project will be planned where the search for optimal densities and the resolution of connection needs in the sector will be the main focus of the project in order to boost both the economy and the quality of life in the area.
