Abstract: Objective: To determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and forced postures in professionals of the rehabilitation and physiotherapy service of a hospital institution, identifying which body segment is most affected in these personnel. In addition, the level of ergonomic risk due to forced posture in rehabilitation and physiotherapy personnel was evaluated. Methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study applied to 27 workers. The ergonomic evaluation method REBA (forced postures) and the Kuorinka Nordic Questionnaire were used. Results: the Nordic Questionnaire will determine 89% of subjects present musculoskeletal symptoms, the body segments where there are more musculoskeletal symptoms are the lumbar region and neck with 31 and 23% respectively in the last 12 months affecting more workers over 40 years. Two jobs were evaluated and the REBA method identified the average ergonomic risk level with necessary measures to be carried out in the rehabilitation and physiotherapy personnel of a hospital institution. Conclusions: According to the observational methods for the evaluation carried out, the appearance of musculoskeletal symptoms was determined in rehabilitation and physiotherapy professionals with the highest prevalence in the lumbar region and neck, probably due to the adoption of forced and prolonged postures during the working day that can increase the risk of developing these disorders; It is important to adopt preventive and control measures in order to avoid the presentation of MSD in personnel of the rehabilitation and physiotherapy service.
