Abstract: La investigación con enfoque cuantitativo y comparativo, realizada en Quito- Ecuador, tiene como objetivo valorar el perfil de cuidadoras por medio de la aplicación del Test CUIDA para descubrir y comparar rasgos e indicadores de la personalidad, así como variables afectivas y cognitivas relacionadas al cuidado de otros entre dos grupos clasificados de la siguiente manera: madres con hijos/as que culminaron o mantienen procesos psicoterapéuticos y madres de niños/as o adolescentes sin intervención psicológica. La investigación consta de dos partes fundamentales, en la primera se evaluó el perfil de las 34 cuidadoras entre 22 y 58 años mediante el Cuestionario para la Evaluación de Adoptantes, Cuidadores, Tutores y Mediadores, adicionalmente se aplicó una encuesta para conocer sobre la madre y su hijo/a, de esta manera se facilitó la clasificación en dos grupos “A” y “B”. Posteriormente se comparó los perfiles mediante el programa estadístico “Statistical Product and Service Solutions” (SPSS) para determinar diferencias de rasgos de personalidad y habilidades parentales, donde se encontró el posible perfil de las cuidadoras de cada grupo y posteriormente en la comparación se encontró 9 de 14 factores primarios, 3 de 3 factores secundarios y en el factor de agresividad valores estadísticamente significativos.
Description: The research with a quantitative and comparative approach, carried out in Quito-Ecuador, aims to evaluate the profile of caregivers through the application of the test “CUIDA” to discover and compare personality traits and indicators, as well as affective and cognitive variables related to care of others between two groups classified as follows: mothers with children who completed or maintain psychotherapeutic processes and mothers of children or adolescents without psychological intervention. The research consists of two fundamental parts, in the first one the profile of the 34 caregivers between 22 and 58 years old were evaluated using the Questionnaire for the Evaluation of Adopters, Caregivers, Tutors and Mediators, also an additionally survey was applied to know about the mother and her child, in this way the classification was divided into two groups “A” and “B”. Subsequently, the profiles were compared using the statistical program "Statistical Products and Services Solutions" (SPSS) to determine differences in personality traits and parental skills, where the possible profile of the caregivers in each group was found and later in the comparison the results were; 9 of 14 primary factors, 3 of 3 secondary factors and statistically significant values in the aggressiveness factor.
