Abstract: Objetivo Determinar la prevalencia de trastornos musculo esqueléticos y las posturas forzadas en trabajadores operativos de una industria de lácteos en la ciudad de Tulcán. Además de identificar qué tipo de lesiones musculo esqueléticas son más frecuentes en los trabajadores de la industria de lácteos; y determinar qué segmento corporal se ve más afectado en aquellos trabajadores. Método: Se realizó un estudio de tipo descriptivo de corte transversal al personal operativo de una industria de productos lácteos. Población conformada por 20 trabajadores, luego de aplicar criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se aplicó el cuestionario Nórdico y el método REBA para el estudio de puesto de trabajo. Resultados: el 70 % presentó molestias en algún momento de su trabajo, de éste porcentaje, los problemas de espalda alta corresponden al 45% y de espalda baja el 25%, y el 40% molestias en cuello. Conclusión: La población estudiada mostró una elevada prevalencia de trastorno musculo esquelético con predominio en cuello, espalda alta, espalda baja, probablemente por la adopción de posturas forzadas y prolongadas durante la jornada laboral que puede incrementar el riesgo de desarrollar estos trastornos.
Description: Objective: To determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and forced postures in operative workers of a dairy industry in the city of Tulcán. In addition to identifying what type of musculoskeletal injuries are more frequent in workers in the dairy industry; and determine which body segment is most affected in these workers. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study will be carried out on the operating personnel of a dairy products industry. Population made up of 20 workers, after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. The Nordic questionnaire and the REBA method will be applied to study the job. Results: 70% presented discomfort at some point in their work, of this percentage, upper back problems correspond to 45% and lower back problems 25%, and 40% neck discomfort. Conclusion: The studied population showed a high prevalence of skeletal muscle disorder with a predominance in the dorsal, cervical, shoulder and elbow regions, probably due to the adoption of forced and prolonged postures during the working day that may increase the risk of developing these disorders
