Abstract: Introduction: this research aims at analzying the Sense of Coherence in women who have been victims of home violence. A document review has been carried out and the collaboration of the women who attend the REDS Therapeutic Community, to whom a structured interview was applied to determine if they were victims of intrafamily violence by mother, father, brothers, husband or others and, in turn identify the type of violence suffered, at the same time the reduced scale was applied to validate the Sense of Coherence SOC-15 which assesses the dimension of understanding, management and meaning that was standardized in Ecuador. Materials and methods: the research has a correlational scope since it seeks to know the Sense of Coherence that the woman who has been a victim of home violence possesses, the modality makes up a field of research because of the data are acquired directly from the study sample. The research with 30 participants were carried out on the total population chosen. The results obtained with reference to the hypothesis raised about the presence of Sense of Coherence in women victims of home violence can be observed that women who were subjected to violence in their family of origin obtained high scores in the SOC-15, which suggests that have developed processes of internal maturity and processes of personal growth, which have provided them with tools to prevent violent actions of their partners or within the family circle. Conclusion: The Sense of Coherence is a tool that allows women victims of home violence to acquire skills to break the circle of violence, while professionals psychologists provide strategies to provide comprehensive and integrated psychological care.
Description: Introducción: esta investigación tiene como finalidad analizar el Sentido de Coherencia en mujeres que han sido víctimas de violencia intrafamiliar. Se ha realizado una revisión de documentos y se contó con la colaboración de las mujeres que acuden a la Comunidad Terapéutica REDS, a quienes se les aplicó una entrevista estructurada para determinar si fueron víctimas de violencia intrafamiliar por parte de madre, padre, hermanos, cónyuge u otros y, a su vez identificar el tipo de violencia que sufrió, a la par se aplicó la Escala reducida para validar el Sentido de Coherencia SOC–15, la cual evalúa la dimensión de comprensión, manejo y significado la misma que fue estandarizada en Ecuador. Materiales y métodos: la investigación tiene un alcance correlacional puesto que se busca conocer el Sentido de Coherencia que posee la mujer que ha sido víctima de violencia intrafamiliar, la modalidad es de campo, debido a que los datos son adquiridos directamente de la muestra de estudio. Sobre el total de la población escogida se realizó la investigación con 30 participantes. Los resultados obtenidos con referencia a la hipótesis planteada sobre la presencia de Sentido de Coherencia en mujeres víctimas de violencia intrafamiliar se puede observar que las mujeres que fueron objetos de violencia en su familia de origen obtuvieron puntajes elevados en el SOC-15, lo que sugiere que han desarrollado procesos de maduración y procesos de crecimiento personal, que les han brindado herramientas para prevenir acciones violentas de sus parejas o dentro del círculo familiar.
