Description: | The skeletal-muscle trauma disorders are part of the first causes of health discomfort and occupational diseases in different occupations, therefore, a large part of the workers complained of muscle pain or mention having had some back pain and these they are a very common health problem among, auxiliaries and transporters, so it is important to prevent these disorders. One of the main reasons is the tasks of manual mobilization of patients whom they attend in the different shifts, and to the physical overstress given to the absence of aid teams. The following project sought to quantify the ergonomic risks in manual mobilization of patients in a hospital unit, with the method MAPO (Assisted Manipulation of Hospitalized Patients), being the only methodology currently available that takes into account the organizational aspects. This study was carried out at the Hospital Metropolitano de Quito in the hospitalization area on the ground floor with a population of fifteen nursing assistants in three shifts and two carriers in two shifts. |
