Description: Diseases transmitted through vectors are a constant threat to the public health of the inhabitants, especially in geographical locations where the appropriate conditions for settlement exist. The present investigation is carried out in the province of Esmeraldas, northwest of Ecuador, where in 2018 the incidence of the arbovirus Dengue had high records of cases presented. Atmospheric temperature is considered an essential meteorological parameter to allow the vector to be located on adequate surfaces, therefore, it also represents a limiting factor in cases where it does not favor, being a determining factor in each phase of its life cycle. The objective of the present investigation is to find incident zones for the transmitter vector, by means of the use of satellite images and information concerning the same one, besides associating the atmospheric temperature directly in front of the cases of Dengue. To obtain the atmospheric data, two satellite sources were used, in charge of obtaining two records every eight days. The information was collected and later placed on ArcGis software to graph and obtain cartographic maps, indicating the thermal incidence within the province. Maximum and minimum temperatures, thermal intervals between them, annual records for each canton of the province, and the maximum and minimum accumulated values were calculated in order to associate them with the appearance of the vector in that area during 2018. Finally, it is concluded that the thermal data of the province favor the presence of the vector, however, it is not possible to associate directly or inversely proportional the temperature with the cases of dengue presented. This is due to the fact that the vector, in spite of presenting inconsistencies or delays in each of its growth phases, also obtains compensations which regularly occur during the night, balancing the thermal requirements established by providing optimal temperatures for the benefit of the vector. The excessive cloud cover over the province presents a lack of data during most of the year, being one of the main limitations carried out on the present study.
