Description: Hospitals expand their processes to meet the health needs of their users. This has given permission that exist a development and contribution to public health and also the generation of hospital waste and emerging contaminants from drugs, medical products, cleaning, pesticides, including others, that have not been regulated and they known little over their environmental impacts, health and techniques that give permission to identify the origin, transportation and so their form of final disposal and treatment is applicable. The objective of this research is to evaluate the processes of third level health institutions and analyze the know-how and transport of these pollutants. In the context to know-how their provenance was analyzed by the means of the processes with the bibliographic research, ISO 14001 methodology and the analysis of the inflow and outflow of drugs, allowed to determine that the most sensitive areas are 27% injectable solutions, 22% inhalation solution and 12% injectable paracetamol. Although the quantities of medicine used in hospitalization area are estimated, the remaining PPCPs that go to water sources are not being registered. This study is an analysis of the process in hospitals and cab be taken account for future studies about PPCPs
