Description: For a long time, ergonomics has not had the necessary approach to the daily physical work requirements that human beings need to develop in their environment without presenting injuries, when these daily requirements exceed the biological capacity, it can be associated with the presence of muscle disorders -skeletal (TME) same that are related to work activity, therefore, this study, is an analytical type of cross-section, in the month of July 2019, the staff studied are medical auditors of a public health institution of Quito - Ecuador, which is responsible for the regularization of service benefits, mostly medical staff, remain a large part of their workday in a sitting position, performing their daily work activities, with the purpose of study to determine the possible relationship between forced postures and its symptomatology at the lumbar level in medical auditors, with an occupational exposure of more than two months in the same area, The Nordic Kuorinka questionnaire is applied in this study, together with the REBA measuring instrument. In addition, with the help of Tables 2x2 Chi square test and association measures carried out by the statistics department and I.O. in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada, the Pearson χ² Test is applied indicating that the test is valid with a result of 5,032 in which there is evidence of association; In the Berkson Bias a result of 26.7% is obtained, no statistically significant differences were obtained, however, this is indicative that the probability of discomfort at dorsal or lumbar level in people studied on average is 1, 64 times higher than in those cases that are not exposed to the risk factor. Concluding that in this study occupational risk is present. Regarding the REBA method, 89.5% of the people in study have a Medium Risk, which is already necessary to improve their posture at work, and the remaining 10.5% require immediate action to improve their posture, Its level of risk is high, demonstrating in this way that the authorities should be empowered of this problem and take necessary actions, no budget is needed in quantity, only the effort to do things better, using preventive measures to improve the positions of workers in the economically active population to avoid work absence, due to postural injuries.
