Description: The purpose of this work was to investigate the relationship of forced postures and presentation of musculoskeletal symptoms in the workers of the administrative area of a hospital institution that use data visualization screens. Methods: Observational, descriptive cross-sectional study, applied to a sample of 23 workers. The REBA methods (forced postures), references for PVD use established by the Ergo system and the Nordic Questionnaire of Kuorinka were used. Results: The Nordic Questionnaire allowed determining that 78% of subjects who participated in the study presented musculoskeletal symptoms. The body segments where they showed a greater number of musculoskeletal discomforts were: lower back (34.8%), neck (30.4%) and wrist (26.1%). The most prevalent osteomuscular symptoms in the last 12 months were in low back men (29%) followed by pain in the neck and wrist (21%) and in women lower back pain (56%) followed by pain in the neck and back high (44%). For the evaluation of the effort of the office work, the ROSA method was used, a score of 5 was obtained, indicating a level of intervention that indicates the need to act on the position to reduce the level of risk. In the evaluation of the data visualization screen with the analysis of the characteristics it was found that the compliance in relation to the computer is 89%, work surface 75%, chair and organization 100% and accessories 67%; The REBA method (forced postures) identified a medium risk with level of action 2 and necessary action. Conclusions: the appearance of osteomuscular symptoms is the consequence of the existence of ergonomic risks in the workplace. For this reason it is important to adopt preventive and control measures in order to avoid the presentation of TME in the administrative area of the hospital institution.
