Description: Occupational diseases suffer a great economic loss not only for companies but for workers and society in general. OIT indicates that there is an increase in occupational diseases, including musculoskeletal disorders. In Ecuador there is a deficit of information regarding the possible labor origin of these disorders, which is why it is sought to quantify the level of ergonomic risk by forced postures and in another aspect to define the perception of musculoskeletal symptoms. Material and Method: This study is a transversal descriptive type and was applied to a banking agency in Ecuador to the specified cashier job, whose total number is 8 employees. The main instruments used in the study were the Kuorinka Nordic questionnaire that measures the perception of musculoskeletal symptoms and the method of evaluation of forced REBA postures. Results: Kuorinka's questionnaire indicated that 75% of the employees had some kind of discomfort from musculoskeletal symptoms and the most affected body regions are neck and hands or wrists. From the REBA method it was obtained that the three positions evaluated correspond to the average risk level with a required level of action. Conclusions: In the working population of a banking agency in Ecuador, the perception of muscular-symptomatic symptoms is grouped in the neck region. Consequently, it was identified that posturally the neck, trunk, forearm and wrists are more punctuated regions according to the method applied, likewise, in the course of the investigation it was possible to denote that there is a risk by data display screens, reduced spaces in the workplace, among other elements, which may be incidents to the perception of musculoskeletal symptoms in cashiers, so it is recommended that this investigation be complemented with the ROSA method and can relate the received data
