dc.description | Epicondylitis is the most frequent musculoskeletal disorder of the elbow; it is one of the most common lesions of the upper limb with an increasing frequency as a diagnosis of occupational disease. Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between forced postures and epicondylitis, of the working population of the laundry area of a hospital in the city of Ibarra. Methodology: Analytical cross-sectional study, a group of 15 workers was evaluated by applying ergonomic measuring instruments, medical assessment and imaging. Results: it was found that there is no significant relationship between epicondylitis by age, sex, sports and extra-labor activities, with seniority in the workplace it was evident that there is a risk of presenting these lesions at a longer exposure time; The ergonomic evaluation was carried out with the REBA method, finding that the level of risk for the laundry area is medium, however, immersed tasks such as: sorting and weighing clothes are those that have a high risk with short exposure time; for the area of clothing in the positions of: folding small clothes and ironing there is a medium risk; however, the clothes hanger task has a very high risk and in the sewing area the risk is low. dc.description.abstract | La epicondilitis es el trastorno músculoesquelético más frecuente del codo, es una de las lesiones más comunes del miembro superior con una frecuencia creciente como diagnóstico de enfermedad laboral. Objetivo: El objetivo de este estudio es determinar la relación entre posturas forzadas y epicondilitis, de la población trabajadora del área de lavandería de un hospital de la ciudad de Ibarra. Metodología: Estudio de tipo transversal analítico, se evaluó a un grupo de 15 trabajadores mediante la aplicación de instrumentos de medición ergonómica, valoración médica e imagen. Resultados: se encontró que hay una relación significativa entre epicondilitis por edad, sexo, deportes y actividades extralaborales, con antigüedad en el puesto de trabajo se evidencio que existe el riesgo de presentar estas lesiones a mayor tiempo de exposición; se realizó la evaluación ergonómica con método REBA encontrándose que el nivel de riesgo para el área de lavandería es medio, sin embargo, las tareas inmersas tales como: clasificación y pesaje de ropa son las que tienen un riesgo alto con tiempo de exposición corto; para el área de ropería en los puestos de: doblado de ropa pequeña y planchado hay un riesgo medio; sin embargo, la tarea de perchado de ropa tiene un riesgo alto y en el área de costura el riesgo es bajo. | es |
