Description: The Zámbiza plateau is located in the province of Pichincha, on the northeastern edge of Quito with a dimension of approximately 7.60 km2, which are divided into infrastructure and green spaces. The plateau has hard edges that cause this area to be confined by its limits to the north the parish of Llano Chico, to the south the parish of Nayón; east of Puembo and Tumbaco parishes and to the west the capital of Ecuador. Inside the built area there is a morphology in the form of checkerboard with a central square as a nucleus, like a village. Zámbiza is one of the oldest indigenous settlements and its religious foundation was in 1584. Despite its history over the years its inhabitants were losing identity due to external factors becoming a dormitory. Currently migration has been one of the key problems in the parish of Zámbiza, because people from the sector have gone to other sites and people from other provinces live in the place, but their jobs are in Quito or parishes surrounding. In the sector the majority of the population are children and young people, becoming vulnerable citizens. In terms of equipment, the place has a large number of homes and has basic infrastructure, such as the education system, with a larger number of facilities, but with a lack of complete infrastructure (lack of a secondary school). For example, students do not have complementary educational infrastructure as social gathering sites that allow the union of the inhabitants, taking into account that Zámbiza has landscapes that can be used for this type of project. This is why a library project is proposed that generates responses to the needs of the population, guaranteeing free and free access to information and the development of education; recreation and culture, motivating the incorporation of people to programs of vital importance such as study and self-education. This would improve social processes and contribute to the balance of development in society. This research wants to analyze possible sustainable means that add potential to a place where there are reasons to involve a wide group of people in academic training activities. With a main focus on making the project a strategic place that serves as an instrument of contribution to society by strengthening and improving its economic, cultural, educational and equipment.
