Resumen : La presente investigación fue desarrollada con el objetivo principal de describir la construcción de la resiliencia en un grupo de voluntarios de 20 a 25 años del Cantón Quito de la Junta Provincial de la Cruz Roja Ecuatoriana. Para el levantamiento de información se utilizó: la Escala de Resiliencia elaborado por Wagnild y Young (1993), además de encuestas aplicadas a los voluntarios, quienes posterior a la firma del consentimiento informado accedieron a colaborar con la información para el desarrollo el presente estudio. Con la metodología antes mencionada se logró establecer que el 88.20% de los voluntarios tienen un alto nivel de construcción de resiliencia, lo que se puede notar que pese a las adversidades que puedan tener de alguna manera tratan de salir adelante, ven las cosas de manera positiva, y a su vez ayudan a las comunidades que lo necesitan. Tomando en cuenta que van descubriendo y desarrollando nuevas habilidades al momento que participan de talleres, cursos, actividades impartidos por la Junta Provincial de Pichincha- Cantón Quito de la Cruz Roja Ecuatoriana. A su vez se logró identificar las características de las resiliencia mediante la escala antes mencionada.
Descripción : The present investigation was developed with the main objective of describing the construction of resilience in a group of volunteers from 20 to 25 years of the Quito Canton of the Provincial Board of the Ecuadorian Red Cross. For the collection of information, the Resilience Scale elaborated by Wagnild and Young (1993) was used, as well as surveys applied to the volunteers, who after signing the informed consent agreed to collaborate with the information for the development of the present study. With the aforementioned methodology, it was established that 88.20% of volunteers have a high level of resilience construction, which can be seen that despite the adversities they may have in some way try to get ahead, they see things in a way positive, and in turn help the communities that need it. Taking into account that they are discovering and developing new skills at the time they participate in workshops, courses, activities taught by the Provincial Board of Pichincha-Canton Quito of the Ecuadorian Red Cross. At the same time, the characteristics of resilience were identified through the aforementioned scale.
