Abstract: El presente trabajo pretende mostrar cómo influye la hipoterapia en la mejora de ciertos aspectos. en niños que sufren de discapacidades intelectuales, específicamente en habilidades y áreas tales como la motora, la cognitiva, y la emocional y con la calidad de vida. El objetivo principal es analizar el efecto sobre las habilidades cognitivas, emocionales y motoras a través de sesiones de hipoterapia que ocurren en niños del Campamento Cristiano Esperanza a través del análisis de los resultados obtenidos con el uso de varias escalas para explorar y describir los beneficios de la misma. La investigación se llevó a cabo utilizando instrumentos psicométricos, a través de 4 escalas: Escala de función motora gruesa, el índice de Barthel, la prueba de ansiedad de Hamilton, la calidad de Gencat de la prueba de vida. La evaluación se llevó a cabo en el mes de diciembre. Los resultados del estudio indican que hay efectos terapéuticos positivos en el grupo de niños que se someten a hipoterapia, y que estos efectos también tienen una influencia significativa en aumentar su calidad de vida, por lo que se recomendaría que las investigaciones futuras se lleven a cabo con un mayor número de muestra de la población y con periodos de tiempo más largos, ya que tiene vistos, son factores que han influido en los resultados de este trabajo de investigación, considerando que en el futuro habrá más investigaciones que prueben los efectos de la hipoterapia
Description: The present work intends to show how hippotherapy influences in improving certain aspects in children suffering from intellectual disabilities, specifically in skills and areas such as motor, cognitive, emotional and the relationship with their quality of life The main objective is to analyze the effect on cognitive, emotional and motor skills through hipotherapy sessions that occur in children of the Campamento Cristiano Esperanza through the analysis of the results obtained with the use of various scales to explore and describe the benefits of it. The research was carried out using psychometric instruments, by means of 4 scales: The Gross Motor Function Scale, The Barthel Index, The Hamilton Anxiety Test, The Gencat Quality of Life Test. The evaluation was carried out in the month of December. The results of the study indicates that there are positive therapeutic effects in the group of children who undergo hippotherapy, and that these effects also have a significant influence on an increase in their quality of life, so it would be recommended that future research they are carried out with a greater number of sample of the population and with longer periods of time, since it has been seen, are factors that have influenced the results of this investigative work, considering that in the future there will be more investigations proving the effects of hippotherapy.
