Abstract: Las estrategias comerciales son un conjunto de actividades que las empresas utilizan para alcanzar objetivos específicos dentro del mercado en el cual desarrollan su negocio. Antes de implementar una estrategia es fundamental realizar un análisis de los aspectos internos y externos que involucran a la organización. PROMESA es una empresa que, durante sus 54 años de funcionamiento en el mercado ecuatoriano, se ha convertido en la principal proveedora de repuestos automotrices en el país. En el año 2017 la empresa decide utilizar una estrategia de comercialización que consiste en modificarla remuneración variable de la fuerza de ventas con el objetivo de incrementar las ventas de las marcas propias y exclusivas que la empresa comercializa. El presente trabajo de investigación analiza la situación del mercado automotor en el Ecuador, la percepción de los consumidores sobre las marcas propias y exclusivas de la empresa, los resultados obtenidos en las ventas generales de la zona Sierra Norte de la empresa durante los últimos dos años, los cambios realizados en la composición de la remuneración variable y determina si la estrategia utilizada por la empresa PROMESA ha tenido los resultados esperados.
Description: Commercial strategies are a set of activities that companies use to achieve specific objectives within the market in which they develop their business. Before implementing a strategy, it is essential to carry out an analysis of the internal and external aspects that involve the organization. PROMESA is a company that during its 54 years of operation in the ecuadorian market, has become the main supplier of automotive parts in the country. In 2017 the company decided to use a marketing strategy that consists of modifying the variable remuneration of the sales force with the aim of increasing the sales of the own and exclusive brands that the company sells. This research work analyzes the situation of the automotive market in Ecuador, the perception of consumers about the company's own and exclusive brands, the results obtained in the general sales of the Sierra-Norte area of the company during the last two years, the changes made in the composition of the variable compensation and determine if the strategy used by the company PROMESA has had the expected results
