Description: | The present study is part of the project "Quimism and protection of invisible water of the Metropolitan District of Quito" with the purpose of reinterpreting the hydrogeological parameters belonging to the Central North and South Aquifer of the Metropolitan District of Quito. In this work different methods will be applied to estimate the transmissivity (T) and the storage coefficient (S) for constant flow conditions over semi-confined aquifers. Hydrogeological parameters will be recalculated from interpreted data from the pumping tests carried out by the Metropolitan Public Company of Drinking Water and Sanitation (EPMAPS). Among the methods of pumping test that will be used are those established by Jacob (1946), Theis (1935) and Hantush (1960); with which an optimal interpretation of the hydrogeological data of the North and South Central Aquifers of the Metropolitan District of Quito will be obtained, despite the fact that the interpretation of these pumping tests was carried out by the EPMAPS from the year 1942. The hydrogeological parameters are They will recalculate with the MJ Pumpit software, which will allow managing an extensive database and with them, maps of transmissivity will be designed that could be used as inputs for the development of models of vulnerability to the contamination of the aquifers of the DMQ. |
