Cementerio para la ciudad de Ibarra

Abstract

En la actualidad existe gran variedad de equipamientos mortuorios, de diferentes escalas y diferentes estructuras funcionales y arquitectónicas. Las diferentes culturas alrededor del mundo, tienen una variedad incalculable de ritos funerarios debido a su identidad y cosmovisión, que son un eje principal para la proyección de esta tipología de equipamiento urbano. Existen varias edificaciones mortuorias importantes alrededor del mundo, y cada espacio arquitectónico dentro de estas edificaciones tienen generalmente un significado para los personajes importantes o casuales que han estado presentes en el complejo. La vida y la muerte son dos palabras que nos hacen imaginar, sentir, conectarnos con nuestros sentimientos. Esto es un tema que el ser humano analiza con diferentes parámetros, pero a la final, siempre sale de un mismo punto principal. Lo que marca la diferencia es el recorrido no lineal que genera el camino de la vida, para llegar a un punto final y diverso en el cual cada ser a creado mediante su recorrido de vida. En arquitectura, la vida y la muerte son un simple eje generador para este equipamiento, en el cual se expresa mediante ejes generadores de actividades que funcionan paralelamente con el entorno inmediato. En todo un complejo mortuorio existe una gran cantidad de simbolismos y representaciones de la metáfora relacionada a la transición del paso de la vida a un punto final que es la muerte. El proyecto se resume en la materialización de los Cronotopos de Bajtín.

Different cultures around the world, have an incalculable variety of rites funeraries due to their identity and worldview, which are a main axis for the projection of this type of urban equipment. There are several mortuary buildings important around the world, and each architectural space within these buildings generally have a meaning for important or casual characters who have been present in the complex. Life and death are two words that make us imagine, feel, connect with our feelings This is a subject that the human being analyzes with different parameters, but at the end, always leaves the same main point. What marks the difference is the non-linear path that generates the path of life, to reach a point final and diverse in which each being has been created through his journey of life. In architecture, life and death are a simple generator axis for this equipment, in which is expressed by axes generating activities that work in parallel with the immediate environment. In a whole mortuary complex there is a great amount of symbolisms and representations of the metaphor related to the transition of the passage of life to a final point that is death. The project is summarized in the materialization of Bakhtin's cronotopos.
